Hey there, I'm Areena, and I am a botanical artist committed to documenting precious memories through my artwork. This is based on the premise that no matter how small, every detail is full of emotion. With the help of my artistry in flower pressing, I create forever treasures from precious flowers.

Flowers may symbolize celebration or make us recall those whom we love and care about. I have always loved the ability of one flower to preserve the memory of an event. It was my association with flowers that gave me my path as an artist.

The idea of making something by hand and giving my friends and loved ones thoughtful presents became a life-long obsession with preserving plants. I believe that I am infinitely curious and creative and always try to think of new ways of turning natural objects into pieces of art. My studio usually has many unfinished works, dried flowers, and sketch books.

The world of opportunities was opened through discovering the ancient art of flower pressing. My passion for capturing the subtle changes that take place in flowers through their preservation emerged from learning how to do it. Each flower is a lesson of patience and appreciation of nature’s rhythm.

To me, preserving flowers goes beyond the mere craft aspect of it; it is my way of assisting people in capturing memories that matter. Each one of the preserved creations signifies memories that should not be forgotten. These memories are made permanent so that the memories will last for years to come. It also allows me to keep track of all the processes involved in each creation.
